A bassist since age 14, Dave Huber received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Illinois State University in 1994 and his Master of Music Education degree with an emphasis on Jazz Studies and Technology Based Music Instruction from the University of Illinois in 1999. Since then he has taught at public schools, clinics and workshops throughout the state. As a bassist, Dave has been fortunate to have performed with Buddy DeFranco, Dennis DeBlasio, Steve Weist, Allen Vizzutti, Ed Soph and Marvin Stamm. Dave currently supplies IT support and teaches music at Oak Grove School in Green Oaks, Illinois. Dave fell in love with the Chapman Stick SB8 a few years back, and now his instrument of choice is a Chapman/Steinberger hybrid called the NS/Stick.
